Keynote Session — Renewable Energy in the United States

Tuesday, April 11, 2006
9:00 a.m. — 11:00 a.m.

South Pacific Ballroom E & F, Mandalay Bay Convention Center
Open to ALL registered attendees
Renewable energy in the United States has clearly moved from the research and development stage to the era of big business. Many of the country's largest corporations are making commitments to buying renewable energy, and more and more utilities are offering renewable energy programs through voluntary and mandated programs. In 2005, the U.S. renewable energy industry received another boost when Congress passed the Energy Policy Act, which extended tax credits and benefits to a broader class of renewable energy projects. As the industry capitalizes on the growth prospects associated with Phase II of renewable energy's evolution, the renewable energy community will gather at POWER-GEN Renewable Energy 2006 in Las Vegas to learn from, and interact with - the leaders in the industry. The opening keynote session at POWER-GEN Renewable Energy & Fuels in 2006 will focus on the promise, prospects and challenges faced by the renewable energy sector in the United States, spanning renewable energy power generation and renewable fuels production.
